As the Digital Lead at Foundry Berlin, I architected and developed the corporate website for Hansen & Heinrich, a premier independent asset management firm. The project demanded a balance of high-end aesthetic precision and robust technical reliability to reflect their values: personal, independent, and holistic.
I designed and built a bespoke WordPress ecosystem from the ground up, consciously moving away from bloated page builders to a custom-engineered block editing experience. This approach ensures strict design compliance while providing the client's team with an intuitive, zero-code interface for content management.
Key Technical Achievements
- Bespoke Block Editing Experience: Engineered a custom block system that abstracts complex layouts into simple, foolproof input fields. This empowers the marketing team and editors to build rich, consistent pages without risking design integrity or requiring any HTML/CSS knowledge.
- High-Performance Frontend: Developed a lightweight custom theme using SCSS and ES6 JavaScript. The architecture prioritizes speed and SEO, ensuring a smooth user experience across all devices.
- Robust DevOps & Automation: Established a fully containerized Docker development environment. Custom automation scripts took care of seamless database syncing, plugin management, and atomic deployments, ensuring absolute consistency between local development and production environments.
